Sysertsky region, Sverdlovskaya obl. Finished secondary school Ή9 in
Sverdlovsk in 1980, in 1985 graduated from Ural Polytechnic Institute,
specialized in electronic mechanical engineering. Since 1993 the leading
specialist at "ROSTEP" company. Married, has two children.
Master of sports in mountaineering.
Champion of the USSR (1987), Champion of Russia (1987, 1999), Champion
of Armed Forces (1990), Three silver and bronze medals in country Championships.
In 1999 occupied the third position in Russia Best Climbers Ranking.
Was the only one invited in France to celebrate the 50th anniversary
of the first ascent of Annapurna. Since 2001 is the member of Russian
National Team in Multisports - new type of survival races.
